The long term impact of BREWYD's methodologies

Insights from a VP of Sales, Technology.

The BREWYD methodologies are a paradigm shift from the typical training and coaching programs.

The approach made me really think about how people learn and subsequently, how to develop a skill in another person using a simple and clear process of developing habits.

I’ve taken the BREWYD methodologies and have applied them in several roles across multiple companies with great impact as an individual and a leader.  By making improvements across multiple stages of the sales cycle we saw in excess of 70% quarter on quarter annual recurring revenue (ARR) growth, average reduction in the sales cycle of 220 days and a 29% improvement in our close rates.

Really understanding the effort it takes to develop a skill was surprising, but it also helped me understand why people tend to forget what they learn in typical training programs.  The BREWYD program coaches participants on this process, helping everyone better understand the patience required to effectively change.

Now it is standard practice for me to use the BREWYD methodologies when coaching and developing skills with my team.  It builds a culture of trust when you roll up your sleeves and share – when you’re a part of the learning process with them.  As a manager I’m accountable for leading by example - it improves relationships, builds a culture of performance and we improve incrementally on the things that will have the most impact.

Before engaging in the program, I didn’t think the time invested would deliver the significant outcomes it has, or that the theory would translate into so many practical applications.  I would encourage people to trust the process, don’t focus on changing more than one skill at a time.  Prioritise the right ones to drive the biggest impact for your organisation.

What is most unique about BREWYD is the focus on improving habits by really understanding the science behind it.  This isn’t a one and done training session that’s forgotten in a few days.  It allows leaders to operationalise the process on an ongoing basis.  The methods are reliable and have a long term impact on people – professionally and personally.
